Prince Albert Road
Grade II Listed
Planning
London, UK

The existing property is Grade II listed and was built in the 19th century following the planned
redevelopment of Regent’s Park as set up by John Nash. The proposal is the creation of the new basement level to accommodate the changing needs of the family house, new dormer and roof terrace. The proposed design is driven by a desire to produce a new sustainable and environmentally responsible basement that is sensitive to the existing house, maintaining the flow, character and hierarchy of the Grade 2 Listed property. As such for the proposed basement at this early stage we have engaged with specialist engineers with a focus on stone as a primary construction. This will significantly reduce the carbon consumption. It is also proposed to include Air Source Heat Pumps into the property to phase out the use of gas.
